This project includes the design of improvements to 1.2 miles of the Ferndale Levee and Treatment Plant Levee along the right bank of the Nooksack River in Ferndale, WA. R&E is providing alternatives analysis and preliminary design of an upgraded levee system to improve flood protection. This work includes roadway and utility design, levee design, hydraulic analysis to consider climate change, structural design, right-of-way acquisition, landscape architecture design, and public involvement.
