R&E provided contract administration and inspection services for the removal and reconstruction of this bridge over Whatcom Creek. The project included removal of the existing bridge, sheet piling, h-piles, reinforced concrete installation, superstructure removal, girders, bridge decking, approaches, retaining walls, paving, restoration, and restriping of pavement. R&E was involved in providing daily inspection on the jobsite along with applicable inspection documentation; coordination and communication with the Contractor, City, and Engineer; review and approval of material documentation; and maintaining updated field record drawings.
