SOUTH 6TH STREET CIPP
Project Details
Client Name: City of Lynden
Construction Cost: Est. $446,000
This project involves the cleaning and lining of approximately 1,500 linear feet of existing sewer main from Judson Alley to the headworks building of the Lynden Wastewater Treatment Plant. The upper 300 linear feet is made up of concrete pipe with hanging gaskets and holes through the pipe walls. The lower 1,200 linear feet is made up of steel pipe with heavy corrosion. The majority of corrosion of the steel pipe was removed by hydro blasting with 20,000 PSI water. The corrosion loosened from the pipes was then removed through the manholes to prevent entry into the wastewater treatment plant. The pipes will be lined with Cured-in-Place pipe throughout the length of the project. R&E provided the design plans, specifications and engineers estimate for this project as well as contractor and subconsultant coordination for the cleaning of the pipes. Under the current CIPP Lining phase, R&E is providing construction management and inspection services.
