The scope of work for this project included the preparation of a federally funded PS&E package for the construction of approximately 1,675 feet of shared-use path. This 10-foot wide path created a safe connection between pedestrian and bicycle traffic in local neighborhoods and the nearby, recently constructed, elementary school. R&E was involved from the scoping phase and worked with the City to draft a contract and begin design and coordination with local property owners. R&E also coordinated with the City and WSDOT to adjust the scope of work and design as changes to the elementary school were made. Final property rights were secured, construction began with R&E providing construction management, and the path was completed.
