This project was funded partially with a Federal Grant administered through WSDOT.  The scope of this project included the reconstruction of a historic overlook along SR11 (Chuckanut Drive), minor highway modifications, modification to an existing access from the site to the highway, a parking lot and a pedestrian trail that connects the two.  Three types of soil retentions systems were utilized on the project for aesthetics and cost effectiveness.  As with many of our projects, the site access required permitting through WSDOT and grading and drainage of the site required compliance with Ecology’s Stormwater Management Manual. R&E also provided construction administration to assist in the level of documentation required by Federal funded participation.
