R&E provided design, permitting, plans, specifications, and construction management services for this award-winning project at the gateway to downtown Lynden. The project involved reconstruction of approximately 800 feet of 7th Street between Judson Street and Grover Street. Improvements included architectural hardscape and landscape features in compliance with the Historic Business District Streetscape Plan as well as stormwater management system, water main improvements, sanitary sewer replacement, and the reconstruction of approximately 250 feet of alley between 6th and 7th Street. Lastly, the project included the reconstruction of a public parking lot adjacent to 7th Street which doubles as an event space including new lighting as well as vendor water, sewer, and electrical connections.
